OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2010. A Russian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, took part on March 11-12 in the second round of talks among the Caspian littoral states on drawing up a draft Caspian Sea security cooperation agreement that was held in Baku.

The result of the round was the sides’ positions brought closer together on several important elements of the draft agreement.

On the fringes of the talks Sergey Ryabkov held a number of bilateral meetings with heads of delegations of Caspian littoral states where the ways to intensify the creation of a multilateral Caspian Sea security mechanism, as well as other questions of mutual interest were discussed.
