OREANDA-NEWS. According to the bank's press service with reference to the Ukrsotsbank Deputy Chairman Iryna Kniazeva, Ukrsotsbank rates decrease for UAH loans will allow individual clients to avoid foreign currency exchange risks and costs of currency exchange. After Ukrsotsbank had decreased the mortgage and car loans in UAH to 14% and 14.05%, respectively, the rates on USD and UAH loans became closer.

Iryna Kniazeva said: "Previously, when USD and the Grivna loan rates varied significantly, people choose preferably dollars, but now it is more convenient for them to take UAH. As is in this case, having regular income in the national currency there is no need to be afraid of exchange risks (USD or EUR rates growth automatically leads to loans' repayment increase). UAH is a stable, predictable currency. In addition, clients do not need to waste time on the currency purchase in exchange offices. And we know that, sometimes, in crisis periods (as it was during Orange Revolution) it might be a very problematic enterprise."

As previously reported, in August Ukrsotsbank lowered rates on mortgage and car loans in UAH to 14% and 14.05%, respectively.
