OREANDA-NEWS. In the course of the fourth meeting of the Group of Twenty countries financial development institutions’ heads – D20 in Beijing, Vnesheconombank and the Development Bank of Southern Africa Limited signed an Agreement on Cooperation.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Agreement was signed by First Deputy Chairman - Member of the Board Nikolai Tsekhomsky and on behalf of the Development Bank of Southern Africa Limited – by Deputy Chairman Mr. Frans Baleni.

The parties agreed to cooperate in implementing projects in infrastructure, sustainable development, energy efficiency and exports support.

The Development Bank of Sothern Africa Limited was established in 1983 in the form of limited liability company, with its sole shareholder being the Government of the Southern African Republic. It is headquartered in in the city of Johannesburg. The Bank’s main lines of activity are providing support for infrastructure projects in power engineering, transport, water resources and information technologies, international funding, funding of projects in the South African region. Like Vnesheconombank, the Development Bank of Sothern Africa Limited is a member the International Development Finance Club (IDFC) and a participant in the BRICS interbank cooperation mechanism.
