OREANDA-NEWS. Acting through its subsidiary VEB-Leasing, Vnesheconombank delivered to Rossiya Airlines (Aeroflot Group) the remaining two Boeing 777-300 aircraft formerly operated by Transaero Airlines.

Thus, VEB has complied ahead of schedule with the instruction by the Russian President Vladimir Putin to put into operation long-range aircraft to enhance transport accessibility of Russia’s Far East. The companies comprising the VEB Group in their turn have fully discharged the obligations to deliver all the four aircraft to Rossiya Airlines as provided for by the existing contracts.

Previously, Vnesheconombank has already delivered to Rossiya Airlines a Boeing 777-300 and a tiger-liveried Boeing 747-400 to make flights to the Russian Far East and Trans-Baikal.

Notably, the aircraft delivered by Vnesheconombank will enable Rossiya Airlines to fly over 450 thousand passengers to five cities in Russia’s Far East.
