OREANDA-NEWS. The average Russian wants 178 thousand rubles a month to be quite happy. At the same time, Russian men need more money for happiness than women - 203 and 155 thousand rubles, respectively, which follows from the results of the Superjob poll published on Thursday.

"The average Russian for happiness today needs 178 thousand rubles a month. Happiness was estimated more expensive only in 2017 (184 thousand rubles a month). In May of this year, requests were slightly more modest (173 thousand rubles)," the results say poll.

It is noted that among residents of Russian biggest cities, Muscovites have the highest demand: they need 228 thousand rubles a month to be happy. In second place is Vladivostok (204 thousand rubles), in third - Rostov-on-Don (198 thousand rubles). The top 5 also includes St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg (192 and 186 thousand rubles, respectively). The residents of Orenburg have the most modest financial expectations; for happiness they need an average of 138 thousand rubles a month.

Men need more money for happiness than women - 203 and 155 thousand rubles, respectively. The demands of young people under 24 are more modest than those of more mature Russians - 126 thousand rubles a month versus 200 thousand for Russians aged 35 to 44. Those who earn up to 30,000 rubles a month, on average, estimated their happiness at 110,000 rubles, and the requests of Russians with an income of 80,000,000 rubles or more amounted to 228,000 rubles a month.

The survey was conducted from November 1 to November 29, 2021 among 2.5 thousand respondents in the general survey and 19.5 thousand in a survey of residents of large cities.
