This is evidenced by data released on Thursday by the company. Thus, the car company's net profit grew by 2.6% compared to the same period in 2018 to a record high of 1.27 trillion yen (about $ 11 billion). It is emphasized that the concern managed to achieve such a result thanks to good sales, both within Japan and abroad.

At the same time, Toyota maintains its current profit forecast for the entire 2019 fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2020. Thus, according to the company's forecasts, net profit should be 2.15 trillion yen ($ 18.6 billion), which is 14.2% higher than net profit in fiscal year 2018.

Earlier it was reported about the modernization of the plant in St. Petersburg. Investments in the modernization of the workshops amounted to 4.8 billion rubles (as of September 2019). Over the entire history of the Toyota plant in St. Petersburg, more than 30 billion rubles have been invested in the development of production.
