The press service of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) reported that the UEFA Court of Justice decided to withdraw the English club Manchester City from participating in European competitions (Champions League, Europa League and others) for the next two seasons for violations of financial fair play. The club is also fined 30 million euros.

It is said in the statement that the Adjudicatory Chamber found that Manchester City “committed serious breaches of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations by overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts and in the break-even information submitted to UEFA between 2012 and 2016”.

English football club announced on its official website that it is going to litigate the decision in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
