OREANDA-NEWS  The president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach called the condition for the admission of Russians to the 2024 Games in Paris. His words are quoted by CNBC-TV18.

"There are no national teams, no anthems, no colors of the flag, no national identification in relation to Russia," Bach said. At the same time, he stressed that the IOC is going to provide an opportunity for athletes who are not associated with the army or other similar services in Russia to compete as individual and neutral athletes.

On July 26, Bach made a new statement about the participation of Russians in the 2024 Games. He noted that the decision on the admission of athletes will depend on the development of the situation.

On March 28, the IOC recommended that Belarusians and Russians who did not support the special operation in Ukraine be allowed to compete in a neutral status. At the same time, athletes associated with the armed forces or security agencies of their countries are recommended to be suspended from participating in the starts.
