OREANDA-NEWS Deputy Minister of Sports of Russia Alexey Morozov announced plans to introduce the concept of the "golden hundred" among the leading Russian athletes with a decent salary. The goal is to limit the change of sports citizenship.

"The CSP (Sports Training Center – IF) will bring the salary that we have for an athlete, that is, a maximum of 147 thousand, to 200 thousand next year. The same goes for coaches. In addition, we want to introduce the concept of the "golden hundred" for outstanding athletes, so that they are not dragged to other national teams, so that sufficient wages are provided," Match TV quotes Morozov.

In August, it was reported that since 2022, almost 70 Russians have changed their sports citizenship.
