OREANDA-NEWS  At least 200 schoolchildren from the Belgorod Region will arrive at the federal territory of Sirius on the Black Sea coast on March 31, the press service of the Sirius administration reported.

Earlier, the governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that it had been decided to take about 9 thousand children to other regions of Russia due to shelling from Ukraine. According to him, they are currently planning to place them for three weeks, but if necessary, this period can be extended until the summer.

"On March 31, at 15.00, children from the Belgorod region will arrive at the Imereti resort station - 200 schoolchildren who are being taken out of the region due to the unfavorable situation. Their coaches, employees of the sports school of the Olympic Reserve of the Belgorod region, will come with the children. The guys will live, study and train in the federal territory of Sirius," the message says.

It is noted that the administration of the federal territory will prepare the necessary infrastructure for schoolchildren.

"A large cultural program has also been prepared for children: they will attend concerts, museums, and sports events," Sirius said in a statement.

In 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the federal territory of Sirius, according to which the subject became a new type of public legal entity, economically independent, with its own budget and property.
