OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2016. Under the patronage of Abdulaziz Al-Oudan, HR EVP, the Learning and Development department conducted a closing ceremony in Jubail marking the end of the SABIC Summer Innovation Program for 2016.

The summer program, which was held in Jubail, Yanbu and Riyadh for three weeks, beginning August 14, targeted the sons and daughters of SABIC and its affiliate employees. As part of SABIC's corporate social responsibility, seats were specially allotted for Saudi gifted students, in collaboration with King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba).

This year the program was designed with Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision in mind which is to focus and invest in youth. The program covered various tracks, including Design Thinking, Electronics, 2D and 3D Printing, and Civil Engineering.

The participants were given the opportunity to present their projects during the closing ceremony, demonstrating SABIC's encouragement and support to the new generation to develop new skills. The sons and the members of SABIC's Cultural Center participated in a play and an operetta, in the presence of Khalid Al-Turairi, HR General Manager, and Saeed Al-Qahtani, Learning and Development Senior Manager.
