A Coronavirus Was Found in a Russian Returning from Italy

OREANDA-NEWS. A new coronavirus was discovered in a Russian citizen who returned from Italy, according to the Operational Headquarters for Control and Monitoring the Coronavirus Situation.
“On March 2, a case of a new coronavirus infection COVID-2019 from a citizen of the Russian Federation was confirmed imported from Italy. According to the epidemiological investigation, it was established that the young man fell ill on 02.21.2020 while on vacation in Italy”, the headquarters said in a statement to the Russian media.
Earlier it was reported that according to the National Health Commission of China, 80,026 confirmed cases of the disease were registered in the country. The number of infected around the world, according to SCMP, exceeded 89.7 thousand people. The number of victims of the virus was 3060, including 2912 in mainland China (SCMP data).
