OREANDA-NEWS. The cabinet today approved an action plan for 2016-2018 aimed at implementing the government's activity programme and ensuring monitoring and assessing the achievement of the set goals.

The document includes over 1,200 actions stipulating adjusting Moldova's legislation to the European standards and principles, eradicating corruption, elaborating policies for strengthening the relations between the two banks of the Dniestre, fortifying defense capabilities and country reintegration. At the same time, the plan also sees the measures focused on economic development, creation of jobs, providing accessible and cost-effective public services, ensuring social protection for vulnerable people, ensuring access to education and health care of high quality.

Also, the government's concerns are routed to strengthening and stabilising the banking sector, sanctioning and combating financial fraud, as well as protecting citizens' incomes.

The plan was elaborated under the government's activity programme for 2016-2018, National Development Strategy "Moldova 2020", the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, information notes on behalf of foreign partners and budget support programmes on behalf of the EU.
