OREANDA-NEWS  The suspension of Belarus' membership in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE Treaty) will affect quotas for personnel and military equipment. This was stated by the head of the Department of International Military Cooperation — Assistant to the Minister of Defense of Belarus for International military Cooperation Valery Revenko, the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reports.

"For the Republic of Belarus, this is no more than 100,000 personnel. Also, the presence of tanks no higher than 1,800 units, 2,600 armored combat vehicles, 1,615 artillery units, 294 combat aircraft and 80 combat helicopters," Revenko said.

According to him, the number of personnel of the Armed Forces of Belarus is 65 thousand. A multiple increase in weapons and military equipment, Revenko noted, is not expected in the near future.

Also, according to the head of the department, the suspension of participation in the CFE Treaty will mean the rejection of control measures carried out against other states and against Belarus by other countries.
