OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian lawyer of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, Yevgeny Hrushovets, was refused entry into the country upon arrival at Tbilisi airport and was sent back to Kiev. Writes about this "Sputnik Georgia".

According to the agency, the defender arrived in Georgia the day before, on October 26, together with the human rights commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada Lyudmila Denisova. The man told the border guards that he had arrived for consultations with the ex-president, but after these words the security forces took his passport and sent him on a return flight without giving any reason.

"They took the passport and handed it over to the crew commander (according to the flight attendants). I explained that I had come to Saakashvili, but alas, [now] I am returning to Ukraine. The stewardess calls me a "deported passenger"," Hrushovets said.

In turn, Denisova managed to pass the border control successfully. Now she is in prison, where the former head of state is serving a sentence and is waiting to meet with him. “One more person flew with me, a Ukrainian lawyer, who was not allowed to cross the border. He was turned back. I will definitely turn to the relevant authorities on this issue," the Ombudsman promised.

Earlier it became known that Saakashvili needed resuscitation in prison amid exhaustion due to a hunger strike. After the intervention of doctors, the politician's condition was stabilized, however, as experts say, his life is still under great threat.
