OREANDA-NEWS. Restrictive measures in Ukraine, taken to contain the coronavirus, have led to a halt in its “hurricane spread.” This was announced on December by the Minister of Healthcare, Maksym Stepanov.

“We see clearly that we have achieved knocking down the wave of coronavirus, hurricane spread, we stabilized the situation. This is what we expected,” the politician said at a briefing. He clarified that the stabilization of the situation with the incidence in Ukraine is evidenced by the decrease in the number of new cases of coronavirus infection, as well as the number of hospitalized patients. According to Stepanov, stabilization was achieved thanks to the restrictions established in the country, including the weekend quarantine, which was in effect in November.

In Ukraine, for several days in a row, a decrease in the daily growth in infected with coronavirus has been recorded. As of Monday morning, 6,451 cases of infection were registered in the country, which is almost 30 % less than the previous day.
