OREANDA-NEWS The British army will be able to hold out for only two months against Russian forces in the event of a conflict. This is reported by The Telegraph, citing British military officials.

When asked by the former parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, Marc Francois, whether it is true that Britain will not last more than two months in a full-scale war with Russia, Deputy Chief of Staff Robert Magowan answered in the affirmative.

The publication says that other representatives of the British armed forces believe that the UK will not be able to withstand an armed conflict for a long time due to reduced costs and a shortage of military personnel.

Earlier, British politician and leader of the Heritage party David Korten said that the UK should stop talking about a military confrontation with Russia.
