OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, from April 1, SNILS will be required to take the traffic law exam and obtain a driver's license, it follows from the government decree.

"In order to pass the exam and issue a Russian national driver's license, a driver candidate must submit the following documents: insurance number of an individual personal account — except in cases where the applicants are employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states in Russia and members of their families, employees of international organizations and their representative offices accredited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and members of their families or persons who are not citizens of Russia and do not have an insurance number of an individual personal account," the statement says the document.

In addition, according to the decree, the candidate for driver will need to provide a notarized translation into Russian of such foreign documents as: passport or other identity document, and written consent of one of the legal representatives of the minor to take the exam and issue Russian rights.
