OREANDA-NEWS. In the Crimean town of Saki the officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation detained a man who planned to organize an explosion in one of the buildings occupied by the bodies of state authority.

The FSB report notes that the detainee is a citizen of Russia and at the same time a member of Ukrainian extremist organizations, an adherent of Nazi ideology.

“A homemade explosive device prepared for use, components and tools for its production, petrol bombs, were found in the garage that belonged to him”, the FSB release says.

The agency explained that a criminal proceeding was began against the detainee under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which establish liability for preparing for a terrorist act and illegal manufacturing of explosive devices.

According to the Russian newspaper Kommersant’s publication, the criminal was preparing to blow up the town administration building.

Kommersant writes that a name of malefactor is Oleg Prikhodko, he is a member of Ukrainian party named Freedom. In February 2019, in his house in the village of Orekhovo (Saki District), FSB officers confiscated the flags of the Freedom party, the flags of Ukrainian Insurgent Army (a formation which supported fascists during World War II and waged guerilla war till 1956) and a portrait of a leader of the terrorist activity of Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera (1909–1949). In June, Prikhodko was fined by the court 2 thousand roubles for the propaganda of Nazi symbols.
