OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Western countries should reimburse the republic for the costs associated with an emergency landing of the Ryanair aircraft.
The Belarusian leader addressed the West with the words quoted by the SB. Belarus Today newspaper: “If you are preparing another package of sanctions, then do not forget to compensate for the costs incurred by the Belarusian side during the investigation of the incident. and other services that were raised at my command. After all, they were involved in accordance with international rules and our laws. You have to pay for this. "
The head of state responded to the West's assumptions that it was an operation by the special services that it flattered him.
"Thank you. If this is an operation, then pay attention, it went off without a hitch. We did not violate not only any international agreements and laws, not a single international law, we did not even violate any instructions," Lukashenko stressed.
Also, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko warned the West that the republic would react harshly to any sanctions, attacks and provocations.
"This is because you there in the West leave us no other choice. You must be stopped today, because tomorrow it may be too late," Lukashenko said in parliament in Minsk on Wednesday, addressing the collective West and NATO. Lukashenko's words are quoted by the agency Sputnik Belarus.
