OREANDA-NEWS. On the night of October 13, Molotov cocktails were thrown at the Sovetsky District Internal Affairs Directorate in Minsk. This was reported by Olga Chemodanova, press secretary of the Belarusian Interior Ministry, on Telegram. Three bottles filled with flammable liquid got into the yard. One of them hit the bus, and it caught fire.

Officers opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 339 (especially malicious hooliganism) and Part 1 of Article 295-3 (illegal actions in relation to objects, the damaging effect of which is based on the use of flammable substances) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the Investigative Committee of Belarus wrote in Telegram.

Since August, mass protests in Belarus over the results of the presidential election have been held in Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko was declared the winner with 80.1 % of votes. The opposition considers Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya as the elected president; according to official data, she took second place with 10.1 %.
