OREANDA-NEWS. The government should help ensure that Russians can buy their usual goods even under sanctions. This was stated by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with vice-premiers.

“In the context of the disruption of logistics and trade chains, it is necessary to help people maintain access to familiar goods, the ability to buy them, despite restrictions from unfriendly states,” he said, adding that for this purpose Russia is actively cooperating with partners in the Eurasian Economic Union.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko noted during her report that the country has enough sugar and buckwheat reserves to satisfy domestic demand.

“There is no need to panic and buy these goods. There are enough of them for everyone. Excessive demand only destabilizes the commodity distribution network,” she urged.

Earlier, Mishustin, at a meeting of the government commission on improving the stability of the Russian economy, said that the Russian government, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, had prepared a plan to respond to sanctions, consisting of 100 initiatives, the amount of funding of which is estimated at 1 trillion rubles.
