OREANDA-NEWS. As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote in his personal blog, the optimal strategy in the fight against COVID is the ability to find an optimal middle path between closing the city and completely abandoning restrictive measures.

He noted that it is very important not to touch the main sectors of the economy, not to deprive people of work and let them live a normal life as far as possible, but at the same time to find an opportunity to interrupt the chains of the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the epidemiological situation in Moscow remains difficult, over the past day, 4610 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the city (the day before there were 4648), 1654 people recovered, 52 died. In Moscow, there is a mask and glove regime, the elderly and people with chronic diseases are advised to stay at home, employers have transferred some of their employees to remote work. In addition, high school students will be studying remotely. The authorities have also introduced a registration system for entering nightclubs and bars.

Against the background of the threat of the spread of the coronavirus, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin asked elderly Muscovites and people with chronic diseases not to leave their homes or leave the suburban garden area without special need. Working pensioners over 65 and people with chronic diseases are strongly advised to switch to telecommuting or take a vacation. The recommendations on adherence to the home regime for the elderly and those with chronic diseases have been extended until October 28, 2020 inclusive.
