OREANDA-NEWS. Al Jazeera television channel reports that Syrian opposition troops, supported by the Turkish Armed Forces, started a new operation southeast of the city of Idlib. According to journalists, Turkish ground forces together with opposition groups are participating in the offensive. The troops are moving under a cover of missile systems. It is reported that the opposition took control of part of the village of Nayrab.

According to the Syrian agency SANA, government army “repelled an attack by opposition groups in the direction of the village of Nayrab.”

A day earlier, Turkish President Erdogan said that if Damascus conducts a military operation in Idlib, Ankara will use all its military power.
