OREANDA-NEWSPress Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called on Friday in an interview with reporters to focus on different points of view when forecasting indicators of the Russian economy.

Commenting on the statements of the head of the Audit Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, who, in particular, admitted an increase in poverty and a decrease in GDP in the Russian Federation in 2020, Peskov said that Kudrin, from what point of view, is a very experienced economist. “He leads the Account Board, makes his point of view. Of course, you can't focus on this point of view alone. You must definitely consider all of this in a complex, including government assessments, assessments of our statistical agencies”, said the presidential spokesman.

“Now, of course, when, for example, both the international markets and our markets are in a “saw” state, you probably need to understand the trend in more detail before making any conclusions”, Peskov added.
