The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), together with the Italian company Kedrion and the FSI Investment Fund, is working on launching a project in Russia to treat patients with coronavirus using drugs based on human blood plasma. This was reported in the press release of the fund.

“RDIF is actively collaborating with Italian companies in the field of medical technology to find new tools for combating coronavirus. Thus, together with one of the world leaders in the production of blood plasma products, Kedrion and the Investment Fund FSI are working on the launch of a project in Russia for the treatment of coronavirus with based on human blood plasma", the words of the head of the fund, Kirill Dmitriev, are quoted in the message.

The press service also noted that Dmitriev was awarded the Order of the Star of Italy - a state award for his significant contribution to the development of bilateral investment cooperation. The official award ceremony will take place at the Italian Embassy in Moscow, when restrictions on the spread of the coronavirus will be lifted.
