OREANDA-NEWS  Belarus' full-fledged membership in the SCO is expected to be formalized at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Astana on July 4, Kazakh Ambassador to Minsk Yerlan Baizhanov said.

"In 2022, six new dialogue partners joined the Organization, four of which are Arab countries (UAE, Egypt, Bahrain and Kuwait). In 2023, Iran became a full member of the SCO. On July 4, at the SCO summit in Astana, we are waiting for the registration of full membership in the organization of the Republic of Belarus," the head of the diplomatic mission said at the expert round table "The Unifying potential of the SCO in the emerging multipolar world," he was quoted by the state agency BelTA.

"Mongolia is preparing to join the SCO," he added.
