OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Nepalese pharmaceutical distributor Trinity Pharmaceuticals have agreed to supply 25 million doses of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V.

“Thanks to the agreement with Trinity Pharmaceuticals, about 90 % of the population of Nepal will have access to the Sputnik V vaccine,” Kirill Dmitriev, general director of the Fund, said.

Trinity Pharmaceuticals director Kishore Adhikari reported that the company is awaiting the results of the final phase of vaccine trials. He added that as soon as the medication is approved by the government of Nepal, Trinity Pharmaceuticals will be ready to immediately provide it to the population of the country.

The RDIF has already agreed on the supply of vaccine after completion of tests to a number of countries, including India, Mexico, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In August, Dmitriev said that the Fund received requests for 1 billion doses of Sputnik V from 20 states.
