OREANDA-NEWS  The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation instructed the Ministry of Energy to sign an agreement with Kazakhstan on the construction of coal-fired thermal power plants in the cities of Kokshetau, Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk, follows from the government decree.

"To instruct the Russian Ministry of Energy, with the participation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, to hold negotiations with the Kazakh side and, upon reaching an agreement, sign the specified agreement on behalf of the government of the Russian Federation," the document says.

The order is accompanied by a draft agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan on the construction of coal-fired thermal power plants in the cities of Kokshetau, Semey and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
