OREANDA-NEWSMikhail Mishustin, the Head of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, suggested considering measures to support entrepreneurs who work under a simplified taxation scheme. The government will consider the possibility of returning businesses to the simplified tax system even after they left it on the back of growing staff numbers and revenue.

Changes can be made to the bill, which is already under consideration by the state Duma. At the moment, entrepreneurs whose income does not exceed 150 million per year, and the number of employees does not exceed 100, can pay a single tax of 6% or 15% on income minus expenses. With further expansion, companies lose this right and switch to the General taxation regime.

To ease the burden, it is proposed to consider a transition period with a slight increase in tax rates. Mishustin also offered to provide companies with an additional opportunity to start the next year "with a clean slate".
