OREANDA-NEWS. The Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is preparing an additional request for participation in investigative actions in Germany as part of the check over the incident with opposition leader Aleksey Navalny. The request is being prepared in connection with the publication of messages about Navalny's coming out of a coma.

“This request will include a petition on the possibility of the presence of investigators of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation conducting an inspection on this fact, and a Russian expert (specialist) when German colleagues conduct investigative actions with Navalny, doctors and experts, including when receiving explanations, with the opportunity to ask clarifying and additional questions,“ the agency reported.

It is noted that the Ministry is preparing a request in accordance with the European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters and with the Article 453 and 454 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed that one of Navalny’s escort on a trip to Siberia, Marina Pevchikh, avoided giving evidence to the police on August 20, and on August 22 she flew to Germany. Other accompanying persons, Vladlen Los, Georgy Alburov, Ilya Pakhomov, Kira Yarmysh and Pavel Zelensky, were interrogated.
