OREANDA-NEWS. The first preparations for vaccination against coronavirus will appear in Russia in late July. This was announced on May 13 by Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko at a meeting in the State Duma.

“In June… it is planned to begin clinical trials. According to preclinical results, we will understand how many candidate vaccines will remain,” the Minister said, answering the question of when the vaccine will appear. Murashko expressed confidence that the development of a vaccine against coronavirus is one of the main conditions for a “return to normal life” after the epidemic.

A number of other drugs for treatment COVID-19 may enter clinical practice in the coming weeks. “Today we see good results over drugs that, as I think, will go into clinical practice in the next few weeks. They actually change the picture of the disease, and some of them replace foreign drugs. One of these drugs also has antiviral activity,” Murashko explained.
