OREANDA-NEWS. The Minister of Natural Resources of Russia, Dmitry Kobylkin at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin said that the coming summer may become one of the hottest in history. According to the Minister, both forecasts of the Russian Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring and studies of foreign stations testify to the anomalous weather. “If it will not be the most abnormal, then maybe it will enter the top five,” Kobylkin added.

He also drew the attention of the head of state to insufficient financing of forest policy in the regions, in particular, to a lack of funds to increase the number of foresters. In response, Putin instructed the Finance Ministry to provide additional resources to the subject of the Federation.
