OREANDA-NEWS. Russian politician, the head of the Krasnoselsky municipal district Ilya Yashin sent an official request to the chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. He demands to punish the organizers of the rally-concert «Crimean Spring». The event was held on March 18 in Moscow's «Luzhniki Stadium». The Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin were here.

«The event was organized in spite of the anti-covid restrictions in force in the city, and was accompanied by mass violations of sanitary and epidemiological norms. I ask the investigation to conduct a check, identify the organizers and bring them to justice under Article 236 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The same article, according to which, until the summer, opposition politicians and activists were closed under house arrest because someone allegedly did not wear a mask at the rallies in January. In «Luzhniki Stadium», dozens of thousands of people were without masks and gloves — where are the searches at the organizers, where are the detentions, where are the courts as a measure of restraint?», Yashin wrote on Facebook.

The politician recalled, that dissidents once appealed to the Soviet government with a simple appeal: respect your Constitution. So I am trying to convey to the Russian authorities a simple idea: observe your own laws.
