OREANDA-NEWS. In Ukraine, quarantine restrictions imposed amid the spread of coronavirus infection are planned to be extended for at least a month.

This was stated by Minister of Healthcare, Maxim Stepanov. “On July 31, quarantine ends. Due to the current epidemic situation, we cannot refuse restrictive measures, therefore we will extend it,” the politician said. Stepanov added that the employees of Ministry of Healthcare are preparing a draft resolution by which the restrictions will be extended for at least month.

On March 12, the Ukrainian government imposed a nationwide quarantine for a month; later it was extended until July 31. Since May 11, restrictive measures have been eased.

According to the latest information of the statistics center Worldometer, 55,607 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine. 1,427 people died, 28,131 patients recovered.
