OREANDA-NEWS After the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall, provocations may occur near the Russian borders. This was stated by political scientist Karine Gevorgyan on the air of the Moscow Speaks radio station.

According to her, the attackers may become more active in Romania, the South Caucasus and the Baltic states. There are also similar risks in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. The expert added that signals are already coming from the Baltic States about the appearance of Russian-speaking detachments in the form of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who are going to terrorize the population "in order to blame everything on us."

Gevorgyan also explained that French President Emmanuel Macron sent his soldiers to Romania out of fear of a military coup. The political scientist added that troops are concentrated on the Romanian-Moldovan border, which can move to Transnistria, where there are Russian peacekeepers.

"The third region is the South Caucasus. (...) Everything is already at a low start of the war there. And I will already say that this is not even a factor of Azerbaijan and Armenia, there are more serious factors here — to involve Iran in these viscous actions in the South Caucasus, and the same Turkey," the expert said.

Speaking about the risk of provocations in Kazakhstan, Gevorgyan recalled the protests that took place in the country in early 2022.

Earlier, the Kremlin noted that it is necessary to apply international efforts to combat terrorism, which do not exist today. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
