OREANDA-NEWS  The United States and its allies are ready to carefully check whether they have the opportunity to transfer more weapons to Ukraine, said the head of the State Department Anthony Blinken.

"We are talking about air defense systems, artillery, shells. And all of us, including the United States, are ready to carefully check whether we can supply more of the resources that Ukraine needs," Blinken said at a press conference in Brussels on Thursday.

At the same time, he again called on the US Congress to quickly approve the White House's request for additional funding for military assistance to Ukraine. This request was submitted to Congress last fall, but congressmen still have not come to a consensus on this issue.
