OREANDA-NEWS According to the analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD", in 2023, sales in the segment of paid medicine in Russia increased by 34% compared to 2022. Laboratory tests, consultations with general practitioners and diagnostic studies, such as ultrasound diagnostics, have become the most in-demand medical services. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that free medical care is becoming more affordable: the amount of its financial support in 2023 increased by 9.1% compared to 2022. The speed of service and comfortable conditions that paid clinics can offer are important for patients, experts draw attention to.

The medical company "Sberbank" and the analytical resource "Check Index" of the company "Platform OFD" conducted a study of consumer behavior of Russians in the market of paid medical services by the end of 2023. The analysis was based on Sberbank's internal statistics and aggregated depersonalized data from Check Index on the purchase of services from online and non-network private clinics, as well as from private medical laboratories. The analytical models of the "OFD Platform" work on the basis of 110 billion checks in the company's BigData system and accumulated expertise over seven years.

According to the "Check Index", in 2023, sales in the segment of paid medicine in Russia increased by 34% compared to 2022. At the same time, the number of purchases increased by 24%, and the average receipt for medical services increased by 10% and amounted to 3,754 rubles. The dentistry sector also showed growth in these indicators: the average check amounted to 8,252 rubles, which is 13% higher than last year; the number of purchases of dental services increased by 14%, and sales volume increased by 27%.

The most demanded medical services, according to the calculations of the "Check Index", were laboratory tests, consultations of general practitioners and diagnostic studies (ultrasound diagnostics and others). The top purchases in the field of dentistry were fillings, anesthesia, dental scans, as well as maintenance of braces.
