OREANDA-NEWS. The Turkish Foreign Ministry declared that the verdict issued by a court in Saudi Arabia for the persons accused in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi did not meet the expectations of Ankara and the international community. Earlier, five defendants were sentenced to death penalty.

“The decision of the Saudi Arabian court, announced today, does not meet either the expectations of our country or the expectations of the international community,” Hami Aksoy, the official spokesman for the Ministry, stated.
