OREANDA-NEWS. The US authorities are ready to pay a reward of up to 10 million dollars for information about persons who, according to Washington, are trying to interfere in the American elections. This was announced by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at a press briefing.

“The U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program, which is administered by the Diplomatic Security Service, is offering a reward of up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of any person who works with or for a foreign government for the purpose of interfering with U.S. elections through certain illegal cyber activities,” the politician said.

The programme Rewards for Justice has been implemented in the United States in 1984 to combat terrorism. In particular, within the framework of it, the US authorities offer rewards for information leading to the detention of terrorists or helping to prevent terrorist attacks.
