OREANDA-NEWS. The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of Ukraine has filed a charge of hooliganism on deputy Geo Leros, expelled from the faction of the pro-presidential Servant of the People party, who showed an insulting gesture to President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported on November 11 on the official website of the department.

“The People's Deputy was charged with hooliganism within the walls of parliament. He is suspected of gross violation of public order. At present, the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being decided, ”the report says, which also specifies that the sanction of the corresponding article provides for a fine, arrest for up to 6 months or restriction of freedom for up to 5 years.

Meanwhile, the RRB suggested that Leros's actions are explained by his desire to create his own media and political image, as well as increase his awareness, attract the attention of the media, society and other politicians.

Earlier, on November 10, it was reported that the non-factional deputy of the Rada, Geo Leros, made an indecent gesture to the Ukrainian leader Zelensky and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak, who arrived in the Rada to present the candidacy of former Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Reznikov for the post of defense minister. During the meeting, Leros began shouting insults at Zelensky and Yermak from the rostrum, after which he showed the first the middle finger.

Later that day, because of an indecent gesture to the President of Ukraine, the regulatory committee of the Rada recommended that Leros be deprived of the right to take part in five plenary sessions. Before that, the Zelensky faction "Servant of the People" called on the committee to assess the actions of the deputy and make an appropriate decision.
