Almost 3.5 million Russians visited Antalya in 2023

OREANDA-NEWS Almost 3.5 million Russian tourists visited Antalya resorts in 2023, which is 14% higher than the same figure in 2022, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reported on Tuesday.
"From January 1 to December 31, 2023, the largest number of foreign tourists arrived in Antalya resorts from Russia - 3,461,762 people. The tourist flow from Russia increased by 14.1% compared to 2022," ATOR writes with reference to the Antalya Department of Culture and Tourism.
According to these data, Russia is the only key market in this Turkish province that has not yet exceeded the volume of 2019, the gap was 38%.
The Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Czech Republic, Israel and Ukraine are also among the top 10 countries in terms of tourist flow to Antalya.
In general, 15.7 million foreign tourists rested in Antalya in 2023, which is 2.7% more than in the record year for Antalya in 2019 (15.3 million).
The Russian tourist flow to Antalya in December 2023 slightly exceeded 60 thousand, which is 28.4% less than in December 2022.
