OREANDA-NEWS. The export of products of the Russian agro-industrial complex in the first half of 2020 increased by 18 % and exceeded 13 billion US dollars.

This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Viktoria Abramchenko. “According to the results of the first half of 2020… Russia supplied agricultural products with a total value of more than 13 billion dollars to external markets. This is 2 billion dollars, or 18 % more compared to the same period of the last year,” the politician said.

China is the main importer of Russian agricultural products. Exports to this country from Russia in January–June in monetary terms increased by 35 % and amounted to 1.9 billion dollars. Exports to Turkey in the first half of 2020 grew by 42 %, to 1.5 billion dollars. Deliveries to Kazakhstan rose by 20 %, reaching 974 million dollars. Russian agricultural products are supplied to 149 countries, and Abramchenko is sure that this number will grow, and export volumes will increase too.
