OREANDA-NEWS. The Chemours Company (Chemours) (NYSE: CC) is pleased to announce that Savoy Magazine has named board member Dr. Curtis J. Crawford to their prestigious Power 300 list of the 2016 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors. Savoy developed this list from extensive research and analysis of African-American leaders who are active on the boards of some of the world's leading corporations and organizations. Dr. Crawford has been a board member of Chemours since its spin-off in July 2015.  He also serves as the chair of the board's governance and nomination committee. His leadership has significantly contributed to the organization's evolution from a division of a large multi-national corporation into a more nimble, entrepreneurial, publicly-traded company.

"We extend our heartiest congratulations to Curt on this well-deserved recognition of his deep business savvy and encyclopedic knowledge of corporate governance," said Mark Vergnano, president and CEO of The Chemours Company. "Dr. Crawford has contributed substantially to Chemours' success, and we are enormously proud to have him on our board. He brings a level of commitment and professionalism that inspires us all."

From entertainment to sports, business to politics, design to style, Savoy Magazine is a cultural catalyst for the African-American community—a magazine that showcases and drives positive dialogue on and about black culture with a unique blend of stunning photography, in-depth reporting, and social commentary.
