OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Rosatom S.Kiriyenko, the deputy head of Rosatom N.Spassky, the deputy director of Rostekhnadzor S.Adamchik, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and IAEA visited Atomstroyexport's (ASE) stand which functioned within the 51st IAEA conference, the Rosatom press-service reports.

Rosatom's exposition was part of an exhibition organized by IAEA with a view to present the capacities of the participant organizations and to enlarge international contacts. ASE's stand received wide response from the conferees from Ukraine, Armenia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Germany, France, Cyprus, the United States, Canada, Angola, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Morocco, UAE, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, India, Iran, China, South Korea, Algeria, Jordan, Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Peru. The visitors showed special interest in the company's low and medium capacity nuclear power plants, particularly, in units with combined desalination systems.

The conferees from Asia and Africa expressed a wish to cooperate with ASE in the field of the peaceful use of nuclear energy, particularly in planning the development of their nuclear power industries, in building nuclear power plants for production of electricity and desalination of seawater and in training nuclear power engineers.

Atomstroyexport is the leading Russian organization implementing contracts for construction of NPPs abroad. After the launch of Tianwan NPP in China, it is going on with building Kudankulam NPP in India, Bushehr NPP in Iran and Belene NPP in Bulgaria.
