OREANDA-NEWS  On 12 December ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) announced that it awarded the IBM Premier Business Partner status in software development, which is the highest level of accreditation under the IBM PartnerWorld program.

RBC SOFT, a subsidiary of the ARMADA Group, first became an IBM partner in 2001. The IBM partnership status was awarded to the company thanks to its strong expertise in software development, confirmed by completed projects and more than 35 certificates granted to its specialists. Along with other factors, this decision has been prompted by RBC SOFT?s leading position as a developer of corporate portals on the Russian IT market. Since 2001, the company has successfully implemented over 1,000 projects, including those based on the IBM Software Development Platform.

IBMs software solves a wide range of tasks related to the creation and support of the information environment. In particular, IBM Lotus is used for workflow management and portals creation, IBM Tivoli helps to support IT infrastructure of enterprises, IBM Information Management is a solution for database management, while IBM WebSphere was designed for the development of business applications and their following integration with different IT systems.

"The new status entitles ARMADA to receive an advanced package of marketing and technical support offered by IBM. We expect that it will boost the company?s client base and diversify the range of products and services our existing customers are already using. Moreover, high demand for IBM?s products will become the group?s additional competitive advantage during state tenders," ARMADA CEO Alexei Kuzovkin said.

ARMADA is currently delivering IBM platform-based solutions to the government of Moscow, the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, the Bank of Russia, Sberbank, Russian Railways and other major governmental organizations and corporations.
