On 25 December 2008 was announced, that New Amway Business Support Center (BSC) had been opened in Irkutsk’ city on December, 16th, 2008.  New center "Baikalskiy" is located on October Revolution street, 1st. Irkutsk will serve Amway Independent Entrepreneurs (AIEs) and their clients who reside not only in Irkutsk region, but also in Baikal and Siberia regions – Buryatia, Tyva, Zabaykalskiy and Krasnoyarskiy territories. According to the company data, there are 70 000 AIEs working in this area now.

In new BSC "Baikalskiy" Amway Independent Entrepreneurs (AIEs) can purchase and place product orders, hold business meetings and attend company’s trainings, as well as receive more detailed information about services of Amway. The new centre is modernly designed, has convenient demonstration stands for ARTISTRY cosmetic products, food supplements and vitamin complexes NUTRILITE. The detailed information about products and company’s services is broadcasted on a large-format plasma monitor, equipped with a special system of audiotranslation, informing the clients about the completed orders. In the new Center there is a modern training-hall for Amway’s products and business presentations.

Investments into the BSC launch amounted to more than USD 500 000 (14 mln rubles). The centre’s area is equal to 1200 sq. metres.

New BSC "Baikalskiy" is located between Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk (distance is more than 4 000 kilometers). This opening will allow us to be closer to our AIE’s and consumers", – said Richard Stevens, general director of Amway Russia.

Irkutsk is the eleventh Russian city where Amway has opened a Business Support Center. In Moscow three are 3 Amway Russia BSCs and the main logistical centre. Amway’s centres are located in Nizhniy Novgorod, St.-Petersburg, Samara, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar and Kazan. Besides, there are three regional logistics centres – in Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don and Khabarovsk.

Opening of "Baikalskiy" was started with a press conference for journalists where managers presented to the media its products, business opportunities and services and made a tour around the Center. Then Richard Stevens, General director of Amway Russia and Sofia Ivanova, supervisor of "Baikalskiy" BSC, both cut the red ribbon and exactly at 14:00 opened the doors for Amway Independent Entrepreneurs (AIEs). More than 1000 persons had visited the center during the fist working hour.
