OREANDA-NEWS  On 25 February was announced, that Ukrainian Government urges all branches of power to a political truce for the economic stability. Such statement was made by Vice Prime Minister Hryhoriy Nemyria at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, today an important condition to overcome the negative consequences of the global financial crisis for the economy of Ukraine is consolidation of efforts of all branches of power. “Enough of organized hypocrisy. We call upon to cease propaganda fire. We should arrange a political truce, for the nearest months at least. The Government is ready for it and urges others to follow its example,” the Vice Prime Minister claimed.

Moreover, according to Hryhoriy Nemyria, the co-ordination of joint actions of the Ukrainian authorities is a demand on the part of the International Monetary Fund to continue cooperation for giving the credit tranches to Ukraine.  At that the Vice Prime Minister expressed hope that the declared NSDC sitting on 27 February “will encourage but not impede achieving a common agreed stand that is a key factor and guarantee of the successful antirecessionary policy.”

Hryhoriy Nemyria also stressed that well-considered responsible public policy is needed in the crisis period but not panic that “is spread in the country”.  According to him, the statement of Director of the International Monetary Fund's European Department Marek Belka, made in Washington that Ukraine does not face the prospect of default, is an example of such activity.
