The All-Russia contest of commodities and services is arranged annually and its objective is to revive the traditions of quality in the country, as well as to support and encourage the best Russian commodity producers, and also assist the enterprises in promotion of products to the markets increasing the recognition level of their brands.

The 12th in succession contest at the federal level was arranged by the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, the Academy of Quality Problems and by the Standards and Quality Editorial and News Agency. The contest Best Commodities of the Republic of Tatarstan was held for the sixth time and it became a regional qualifying round for participation at the all-Russia level. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatar Center for Standardization, Metrology and Certification acted as organizers of the contest.

Over twenty seven thousand companies and organizations submitted about fifty thousand products at the regional stage during the past few years competing for the right to produce the best products in the country and about twenty thousand commodities qualified to be presented at the federal stage.

Opening the ceremony, R.N. Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted that domestic manufacturers produce high quality goods nowadays, but they also have to learn to qualitatively promote their products at the market. The contest helps to solve this problem as reflected in the contest's motto "Succeed and Win, Overcome and Add Value!" L.M. Chervyakov, Executive Director of the Academy of Quality Problems, thanked all participants for their interest in the contest emphasizing that particular companies will help to develop the country's economy.

* The chain drives manufactured by the Bugulma mechanical plant have been being introduced at producing wells and at the licensed areas of OAO TATNEFT since 2002. Their number will be 1113 units by the end of 2009. The greatest effect from their application is achieved in the wells complicated with extra-viscous oil, oil/water emulsion formation, deposition of salts and asphaltenes/resins, operating in the periodic pumping mode, as well as in the wells of small diameter.

As the experience shows, application of PC-60 and PC-80 with the stroke length of 6 m instead of pumping jacks allows to reduce the total number of the wells remedial servicing operations by 1.5 times and 2.5 times, respectively, in comparison with the ESPs, as well as to increase the average MTBF of the complicated wells by 310 and 252 days, and achieve specific energy saving for lifting 1 cubic meter of the product in the range of 10 to 20% in the first case and by 57% in the second case. Lower operating costs associated the wells remedial servicing operations will account for 142.2 and 188.4 thousand rubles saving per year, respectively, while the energy saving will account for 19 thousand rubles and 8.8 thousand rubles per year per each drive.
