In 1989, the FAIR Aviation Pool became a separate subdivision after long-term debates of reinsurance pool participants and in the result of high degree of their specialization in aviation business.

As of November 1, 2009, Eurasia’s assets amounted to 53.558 billion tenge, having increased by 25.35% if compared with the same indices of the previous year. The capital comprised 32.379 billion tenge, which is 26.85% more than the index of the previous year. The company has paid 2.244 billion tenge under insurance/reinsurance contracts for the period under review.

A.M. Best international rating agency confirmed in 2008 the financial stability rating at “B++” level and the credit rating at “bbb” level of JSC Eurasia Insurance Company with a stable forecast. This rating by A.M. Best is the highest among the CIS countries and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

June 24 this year, Standard & Poor’s international rating agency has increased long-term credit ratings of counteragent and financial stability of Eurasia Insurance Company of Kazakhstan from “B+” to “BB-”. Rating forecast is stable. At the same time, Eurasia’s rating according to the national scale increased from “kzВВВ+” to “kzA-”.
